We are at 73 percent of our parish goal for the Diocesan Encountering Christ capital campaign (as of Nov. 26), with nearly $1.9 million in pledges. During Masses on Dec. 7th-8th and 14th-15th, are inviting all parishioners who have not yet made a pledge to join us in participating in the Encountering Christ Campaign. We ask you to consider a sacrificial gift to the campaign—one that is right for you.It is only through the participation and support of each one of our families that we can truly be successful.
Thank you to those families who have already pledged to the campaign. Your gift will make a significant impact for generations to come within our beloved diocese.
Rob Suffoletta has made a practice of keeping in touch with the many priests who have influenced his faith over the years, “to make them understand that they’re appreciated.”
He and his wife, Leslie, members of St. Theresa Parish, feel strongly about supporting priests as they get older and need a place to retire. Knowing Encountering Christ funds will be used to expand the St. John Paul II Residence for Priests helped influence their sacrificial gift to the campaign.
“These men give decades of their life to serving us as parishioners and serving the Catholic community,” he said. “It’s important for all Catholics to help take care of them and provide them with housing, meals and community in their retirement, given everything that they’ve given to us.”
Rob and Leslie were also inspired that Encountering Christ will benefit the education of seminarians and Catholic schoolchildren.
“These are things that have long-term value to the Catholic community,” Rob said. “These initiatives are going to help grow the diocese and enable people to better practice their faith.”

On September 8th St. Theresa launched our parish participation in the Encountering Christ Campaign of the Diocese of Austin. This capital and endowment campaign is an opportunity for the faithful of our community to give generously to support the important Diocesan ministires, including our parish, in efforts to bring others to encounter Christ through:
youth ministry
campus ministry
Catholic Charities
Catholic schools
rural and growing parishes
seminarians
retired priests
and more.
Our parish goal is $2,575,000, of which 30 percent, or $772,500, will remain at our parish to meet local needs, at our discretion. In addition, we will retain 70 percent of any amount we raise over our goal, which will impact our parish signifcantly.
The funds that stay within the parish will be used to invest in a campus master plan and provide seed funding for design and future development.
