Middle School Youth Group:

Updates to St. Theresa's Middle School Youth Ministry:
Starting in the September 2019 we are launching our new middle school youth group! This will be open to all students in 7th and 8th grade and is REQUIRED in order to enter the 9th grade Confirmation year. 

What to expect:
Middle school students are going to dive deeper into the faith in order to be equipped to encounter Jesus Christ in the Eucharist and each other. Every week we will have various activites, talks, and small groups to empower our middle school students to take ownership of their faith in a real and tangible way.

Some Important Info Before You Register:

Are you a parishioner?
You must be a registered member of St. Theresa Parish to participate in our Middle School Catechesis program. You may register as a parishioner here.

What is your role as a parent?
As a parent, you are the primary teacher and will have the greatest impact on your child's Catholic faith.  While the parish community can support you in this role, nothing can replace the witness of parents living out their Christian discipleship. In fact, parents have been ordained by God to evangelize their children.  How a parent demonstrates the priority and essential reality of their relationship with Christ (or doesn't) will speak louder than anything that takes place in the classroom.  St. Theresa offers many opportunities for Adult Faith Formation.  In addition, there are many ways to grow in faith while being involved in the St. Theresa community; here is a link to opportunities including liturgical ministries, prayer groups, and moms' groups.

In preparation for this coming year, how will you witness to your faith? Full, conscious, active participation in the Sacrifice of the Mass each week is our foundation. In addition, we all need ways that we can give of our time, talent and treasure and grow in our faith through ongoing catechesis.

Online registration will be open until October 1st, 2019.
If you register after that, we can accept registrations using the downloadable form in the lefthand menu.  Payment may be made by cash or check to St. Theresa.

• The registration fees:
  • One child: $65.00
  • Two children: $130.00
  • Three children or more: $195.00
• Registration Fees will be waived for children of weekly adult volunteers who contribute their time to the Catechesis Program as Catechists, Assistant Catechists, Faith Friends, Small Group Leaders, or Resource Room Aides. Weekly volunteers will need to register their children using the downloadable registration form available in the lefthand documents menu in order to take advantage of the credit. 
• If your child is applying for Confirmation, there will be a separate fee and application.  Please go here to learn more.
• If you have children to be enrolled in both Children's Catechesis and Middle School Catechesis, you may use one registration form to register everyone.

• Registration is not considered complete until payment is received, and an online Medical Release Form is received for each child registered (link is in lefthand navigation on this page of our website).
