St. Theresa Catholic Church is home to a vibrant Senior Adult Ministry offering many opportunities for fellowship, spiritual growth and support, service, and fun. Below are a few ways senior adults can stay connected to the faith community and become involved in this active ministry.
Pastoral care visits: The Minister of Senior Adults visits senior adult parishioners in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals and private homes as requested. To request a visit, contact Sr. Ann Pennington at (512) 451-5121 x1017 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Senior Coffee Group
Make new friends and keep the old! Do you enjoy getting together with friends for coffee, breakfast, or brunch and conversation in a relaxed atmosphere? Consider joining our new St. Theresa Senior Coffee Group which meets at Kneaded Pleasures Bakery Café located at 2573 Far West Blvd., 78731. This group meets the last Tuesday of each month beginning on Feb. 28 at 9:30 a.m.
Caregiver Support Group
Are you a caregiver for a loved one or a dear friend suffering from a long-term illness or disease? If so, you are invited to join our new Caregiver Support Group which meets the first Tuesday of each month from 10:30 – 11:30 am in Bldg. E, Rm. 104. Senior Ladies Travel Group
This group is for ladies who are interested in planning anything from a day trip to a cruise.
Do you enjoy playing table games? If so, come and participate in our Game Day which meets on the first Monday of each month from 1:00 – 3:00 pm in the Family Center.
Attention, all book lovers! You are invited to join our book club which meets the second Tuesday of each month from 10:00 – 11:30 am in Bldg. E, Rm. 104. The group chooses a different book each month. For more information please contact Sr. Ann Pennington.
If you are interested in learning more about your ancestry please consider joining our parish genealogy club which meets on the first and third Thursday of each month from 10:00 – 11:30 am in Bldg. E, Rm. 101 (new room number). For more information please contact Sr. Ann Pennington.
Our bridge class meets each Thursday from 10 am - 11:30 am in the Family Center. We are blessed to have Joan Quenan as our teacher. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn to play bridge with your fellow parishioners.
Our bridge club meets the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from 1 pm – 4 pm in the Family Center. Please consider joining your fellow parishioners for bridge and an enjoyable time together.
Beginning in September on the first and third Tuesdays of each month from 10 am – 11:30 am we will be playing Canasta in room 3 in the Family Center.

Senior Adult Ministry also serves as a Referral Center for senior adults needing assistance with housing, medical supplies, medical equipment repair, home health care and elder abuse issues.
